Latest News - October 2008:
Defra Research:
ACCON has recently completed a Defra funded research project entitled “
A Review of Noise From Domestic Machinery
”. The project reviews existing and emerging machinery and plant available for use in the residential market that could give rise to complaints in respect of noise or vibration. The review also considered existing legislation and advice used to deal with these problems, with a view to making recommendations as to how these problems can be resolved or avoided in the future. Equipment considered in the study includes Air Conditioning Units, Biomass Boilers, Borehole Pumps, Combined Heat and Power, Condensing Boilers, Hot Tub & Spa Equipment, Swimming Pool Equipment and Garden Water Features. It is expected that the final report will be published on Defra’s website in due course.
